![]() Then after that Pathfinders achievement for the rest Comment by Matrixwolf on T01:38:02-05:00ĭoes this mean, if u have the achievement u can fly at lvl 10, while if you do not, u can fly at lvl 30? Mop was 90 learned at your faction's shrine Wrath of the Lich King was 78 (Ice crown and storm peaks where not designed for ground mounts) So Cataclysm only being 30+ just like flying mounts make sense to meīurning crusade was only once reached 70 ( 68 for druids) The zones where designed to be done flying as Cataclysm was the only Expansion where you could start leveling directly with your flying mount back then My guess is, You can't start leveling in Cataclysm due to not having a flying mount. Comment by Xecyc on T01:28:35-05:00įinally people can fly in Draenor/Broken Isles :) That took too long to implement Comment by Vanakar on T01:37:49-05:00 Very looking forward to this feature when it’s completed. ![]() As a recent bluepost informed us, Draenor and Broken Isles Pathfinder would no longer be required to fly in those zones in Shadowlands - only unlocking the achievement related mount and bonus riding speed, so it may be intended as an extra gold sink in order to fly or unlock benefits in those expansions, or just another incomplete feature.Īlpha is alpha. It would appear that Pathfinder is purchased rather than learned outright, although curiously new characters on accounts which already own the achievements appear to have the skills automatically unlocked, so it's unclear why the ability is shown on riding trainers at all. In addition to the previous riding skill changes uncovered last week, we've also found that Draenor and Broken Isles Pathinder skills are now listed as learnable skills at riding trainers. That said, many of the maps level ranges are currently incorrect, and it's far more likely this is simply due to incomplete development, as it would seem very unlikely that a new character wouldn't hit level 50 long before reaching those Cataclysm zones, much less completing them, so take it with a grain of salt - the feature is clearly incomplete and there's a lot of polish left to be done. Additionally, the world map shows their zone level ranges starting at 30, while late vanilla zones such as the Burning Steppes end there, which would imply that vanilla is only supposed to take characters to 30 after which they progress through Cataclysm zones. Interestingly, the Adventure Journal does not include an option for starting in Cataclysm. Again, this is probably just not yet implemented, and a more robust presentation will be added as development continues. Interestingly, this is currently all done through the Adventure Journal/Hero's Call Board, rather than meeting Chromie, as was described in our initial BlizzCon preview. Unfortunately, these features appear to still be in development and many are difficult to actually get into - Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, and Legion introductions are plagued by phasing issues and leveling requirements, while Wrath of the Lich King immediately prompts you to fly to Dalaran without actually giving you enough money to do so! That said, we expect these to be early alpha issues which should smooth out over time. *The Horde version of Exile's Reach is still not yet implemented on the alpha.Īllied Races forgo this choice, beginning in their capital city with a quest to introduce themselves to the respective leaders, but they can use the Adventure Journal to choose to start in Azeroth, Outland, Northrend, Pandaria, Draenor, or the Broken Shore instead. ![]() At this time, it appears they are required to go into Battle for Azeroth content however, rather than choosing their preferred expansion. Non-Allied Races have a brand new option at character creation between heading to the new introductory experience in Exile's Reach or beginning the game in their original starting locations. In the latest Shadowlands alpha build, new characters now have more options for choosing how they want to level up to 50, including choice of introductory scenario and expansion!
